Week 12 NFL Picks (Thursday Night Game)

Week 11 was good to me as tallied a 11-4 record, which brings my record for the season to 101-61, a full 40 games over .500.  The  week got off to a rough start as the Falcons continued its downward spiral season, my Raiders managed to hold on to defeat the hapless Texans, the Bills dismantled the Jets who were obviously hung over from their Dave and Busters outing, and the Lions gave the Steelers an early Christmas present. Following the ideology of Jim Schwartz, "Sacred money don't make no money", where are you perfection?!?!?!

Week 11 NFL Picks (Thursday Night Game)

Week 10 was another chaotic week but I once again managed to finish the week over .500 by going 8-6, which brought my overall record to 90-57. A few close calls that go the other way and I'm looking at finishing the week 10-4 or 11-5. I watched the Redskins blow an early lead, Andrew Luck and the Colts forgot to show up at home last week as they were drubbed by the Rams, Cincinatti gave the defending champion Ravens a glimmer of hope in the division (they could have effectively ended Baltimore's season last week), Tennessee and Miami became the first victims for the Jags and Bucs. Even though I picked the Niners to defeat the Panthers last week I obviously wasn't as surprised by the outcome as I predicted a one point Niners win (Panthers won 10-9). Perfection are you there.......?

NFL Week 10 Picks (Thursday Night Game)

Week 9 was a tough week but I managed a decent 7-6 to improve my overall record to 82-51 for the season. The Baltimore Ravens continued their free fall, losing to the Jason Campbell led Cleveland Browns. The Browns after may be a quarterback away from potentially competing for their division title for a few years to come with the Steelers and Ravens trending the wrong way due to various reasons. Baltimore and Pittsburgh are two impressive organizations so don't throw dirt on them just yet though. One other game really hurt me and that was the Chargers/Redskins game. I just don't understand offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt's play calling with 1st and goal from 6 inches out! A Danny Woodhead run from the shotgun, a fade to Antonio Gates, and an ill advised roll out on 3rd down. Phillip Rivers is 6'5, is he too fragile for at least one quarterback sneak attempt? Now that I have finished venting, the persistent quest for perfection continues.
