NFL Picks Week 16
Week 15 was a return to form per se as I went 14-2. My only two L's were the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars. This weeks slate of games kicks off tonight as my up and coming Oakland Raiders will take on their potential new roommates, the San Diego Chargers. As Week 16 approaches my chances for perfection continue to dwindle, so check out my latest attempt after the break and Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all!
Beanie Sigel "Feel It In The Air" (feat. Melissa Jiminez) (Throwback Thursday)
It's been said that adversity can inspire some of the best music and that was more than obvious when Sigel crafted The B. Coming and it's lead single "Feel It In The Air".

Boyz N Da Hood "Dem Boyz" (Throwback Thursday)

NFL Picks Week 12
So after last weeks 4-10 debacle, I rebounded nicely in Week 11 with a record of 9-5, which brings my record for the season 98-61. Happy holidays to you all and while you enjoy your turkey and early Black Friday shopping, I'll still be in the lab chasing perfection! Check out my picks for this week after the break.
Thursday, November 19, 2015
NFL Picks Week 11
Whoaaaaa, the bottom completely fell out for me last week. This season has been responsible for my two worst weeks since I've been making picks. I went a putrid 4-10 in Week 10, dropping my season record to 89-57. Yes, a handful of narrow margins of victory could have swung my week in a different direction but obviously that didn't happen. With that said I still haven't gave up, but has perfection given up on me? We shall see....

Kellz links up with Juicy J for the latest leak from The Buffet.
NFL Picks Week 10
So a rough Week 9 is in the books, as I went 7-6, bringing my record for the season down to 85-47. In predictions that went wrong, I picked the Packers to give Carolina their first loss, the Broncos to remain undefeated, and the Falcons, who are trending the wrong way to beat the Blaine Gabbert lead 49ers. Boy was I wrong! Yet and still I haven't given up the dream of perfection so I now give you my Week 10 picks after the jump.
Jeezy "Put On" (feat. Kanye West) (Throwback Thursday)
Church In These Streets dropping tomorrow! Check out the Kanye assisted "Put On" off of The Recession.
Thursday, November 5, 2015
NFL Picks Week 9
Week 8 was good to me as I managed to go 12-2, which brought my season record to 78-41. Two close loses by the Giants and Falcons were the only thing standing in the way of perfection. In the words of Nipsey Hussle, the marathon continues...
Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five "The Message" (Throwback Thursday)
The significance of this record is paramount as it helped begin the transformation of Hip-Hop becoming "black people's CNN" as it was later dubbed by legendary Public Enemy front man, Chuck D. Do you feel that the genre still acts as such or has it become diluted?
Thursday, October 29, 2015
Joe Budden "Exxxes" (Throwback Thursday)
Probably one of my favorite Joe Budden records off of "The Padded Room".
Wednesday, October 28, 2015
NFL Picks Week 8
9-5 is my final Week 7 outcome, bringing my season record to 66-39. I'm continuing to trend upward after getting off to a horrendous start this season. I'm interested in seeing how the Detroit Lions will respond to having their coaching staff shaken up and if these moves put head coach Jim Caldwell on the hot seat as they sit at 1-6. Without further ado, check out my Week 8 picks after the jump.
Kendrick Lamar "These Walls" (feat. Anna Wise, Bilal, and Thundercat) (Video)
K. Dot drops off a new visual for "These Walls" off of To Pimp A Butterfly...

Thursday, October 22, 2015
NFL Picks Week 7
I slipped back to the pack a little in Week 6 as I managed to go 8-6 and bring my record for the year to 57-34. That's 23 games over .500, pretty good but I can do better. I'm still searching for that forever evasive perfect week but with a new week comes a new chance to shoot my shot!
Boogie Down Productions "The Bridge Is Over" (Throwback Thursday)
Last week I gave you "The Bridge", so this is very necessary. Arguably one of the most iconic diss records in the history of Hip-Hop.
Thursday, October 15, 2015

MC Shan "The Bridge" (prod. by Marley Marl) (Throwback Thursday)
While the world may never forgive Shan for introducing us to Snow, he will always have this legendary record in his back pocket. Everyone who loves Hip-Hop should understand the history behind this record, so what's understood shall not be explained.
NFL Picks Week 6
Week 5 turned out to be another solid week for me as I managed to go 9-5 and bring my season total to 49-28. I'm still trending in the right direction even though Jay Cutler and the Bears managed to steal another game from me, just as the Raiders gave another one away that they had several chances to win. My other loses from week 5 include Baltimore, New Orleans, and Jacksonville. Now let's turn out attention to week 6 and perfection....
Thursday, October 8, 2015

Talib Kweli and 9th Wonder "Every Ghetto" (feat. Rapsody)
New heat from Talib and 9th's collaborative project, Indie 500. They get an assist from Rapsody on this one.
NFL Picks Week 5
Week 4 was another good one for me as I went 11-4, bringing my record for the season to 40-23. That's 17 games over .500, as I am in far better shape than I was after my week 2 debacle. Also, will a head coaching ( and defensive coordinator) change in Miami translate into wins for the Dolphins going forward? We'll find out in Week 6 since they have a bye this week. The biggest disappointment of Week 4 was my very own Oakland Raiders, who gave away a game that they should have won fairly easily against the Bears. Those are the games that you have to win to turn the corner as a rebuilding franchise. Meanwhile I'm still scratching my head in search of perfection. Check out this weeks picks after the jump.
The Game "Hate It Or Love It" (feat, 50 Cent) (Throwback Thursday)
What other way to celebrate tomorrow's release of The Documentary 2, then with this classic track from the original itself? Check out "Hate It Or Love It", featuring 50 Cent, todays Throwback Thursday track.

NFL Picks Week 4
BACK.ON.TRACK. Hopefully the train will continue to stay on the tracks from here on out. After going 6-10 last week, I rebounded with a 14-2 mark in week 3 bringing my season record to 29-19. That's a cool ten wins above .500 after being two under last week. The Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens were responsible for my only miscues in week 3. Last week I was two wins away from perfection, it's within reach, the marathon continues! Check out my week 4 picks after the break.
Ten City "Right Back To You (Extended Version)" (Throwback Thursday)

NFL Picks Week 3
In quite possibly my worst week in three years, I finished Week 2 at 6-10 bringing my record for the season to 15-17. My Raiders cost me a victory but that's one I can live with. Uninspired performances from the Rams and the Dolphins cost me as well , while Brady deflated all the Rex's talk. Last week was rough simply put, no excuses. Hopefully Week 3 is a return to normalcy as the marathon continues. Check out my picks for this week after the break.

NFL Picks Week 2
So last week wasn't the start that I was looking for but it could have been considerably worst. I finished 9-7 last week, where bonehead decisions by the New York Football Giants and just an all around ugly game from the Colts cost me two victories.

Thug Love (R.I.P. 2Pac)
Today marks the 19th anniversary of the death of Tupac Shakur, one of the most recognizable and iconic figures ever to pick up a microphone. Another star who's life was taken entirely too soon, we are often left to wonder how the polarizing 2Pac would have grown musically and how he and one time friend and adversary Biggie Smalls would have dictated the direction that Hip-Hop moved in. Today isn't one to mourn, it's one to show a little thug love, the way Pac would have wanted us too!

And just a few hours later, Horseshoe Gang fires back at Funk Volume. Dame, Funk Volume CEO, said that they wouldn't respond to anymore Horseshoe Gang records, calling the last one "charity" but let's see if Funk Volume will ignore this in hopes of another crew accepting their challenge.
Funk Volume "Free Meal (Horseshoe Gang Diss)" (feat. Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, and Jarren Benton)
After Horseshoe Gang dropped their Funk Volume response, "Half A Meal", Funk Volume CEO Damien Dame Ritter insinuated that they weren't worthy of a response because in addition to being broke, Hopsin performed for 10K people in two days, while their record only had 10K views in the same amount of time. But then this happened...
Afterwards Dame had this to say.....
Afterwards Dame had this to say.....
Horseshoe Gang "Half A Meal" (Funk Volume Diss)
This record dropped last week but kind of flew under the radio, so with the new wave of diss records coming from Horseshoe Gang and Funk Volume I decided to post it again.
