Noreaga Announces New Album.....And His Retirement!
During an interview with MTV, Noreaga announced the title for his upcoming and final album, Melvin Flynt II: Da Final Hustle. Nore figures that this is a fitting way to end his career by atoning for the one mistake he felt that he made as an artist, Melvin Flynt: Da Hustler. While he does acknowledge the success of the album he notes that this was the one album where he didn't give 100% percent and he wants to make it up to his fans. After hanging up his mic, Nore plans on moving behind the scenes and become more dedicated as a music CEO. Far from the greatest emcee, Noreaga will go down as one of the more memorable and beloved rappers of his era. Check out his MTV interview below...

NFL Predictions Week 4
Week 3 was far too unkind as I went a horrific 7-9, dropping my season record to 29-19. Cincinatti proved to experts everywhere that they are a legit threat in the AFC as they defeated the much hyped Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. I don't believe anyone foresaw Cleveland defeating Minnesota, Carolina drubbing the Giants, and Andrew Luck and the Colts going to the Bay and totally embarrassing the Niners. My other loss was a coin flip game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. This week I'm waffling on the Raiders/Skins, Lions/Bears, Falcons/Patriots (mainly due to injuries/inconsistencies), and Giants/Chiefs (Giants have to win at some point right?) And just as a reminder, Carolina and Green Bay both have bye weeks for you fantasy football fanatics such as myself. With that out the way here goes my weekly attempt at perfection .
Big L "M.V.P." (Throwback Thursday)
Big L was one of the more talent rappers from New York, even though he never really found mainstream success. The emcee from Harlem came up with other notable rappers such as Ma$e and Cam'ron, as they were collective known as "Children of the Corn". He was also affiliated with the D.I.T.C. (Diggin' In The Crates) Crew later in his career. L seemed to be on the cusp of breaking through as he was believed to be in negotiation with Jay-Z and Dame Dash (whom he frequently worked with in their earlier years in the game) to join Roc A Fella Records. Sadly, Big L was shot and killed on February 15, 1999, leaving many fans asking why and what if, as he was definitely one of the most talented emcees of his era. Big L Rest in Peace!!!

Drake's Feelings Toward Kendrick's "Control" Verse
After
addressing this topic with Elliott Wilson during his #Crown interview, Drake is once again asked about how he feels about Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control" during an interview on Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood. It seems Drake is a little perturbed, maybe he is tired of being asked about the verse.. Do you think he is throwing shade? Does it seem like he is attempting to downplay Kendrick's "moment" with his comments? I'm not going to go into to too much detail but I think Aubrey feels some type of way about the verse, he just isn't being totally honest about it.
You be the judge...

NFL Picks Week 3
Week 2 wasn't as good to me as week 1 where I went 12-4, but I still managed to finish 10-6, bringing my record for the young NFL season to 22-10. Three swing games that I debated over the most were Dolphins vs. Colts, Cardinals vs. Lions, 49ers vs. Seahawks. and Chargers vs. Eagles and to my surprise I managed to pick the loser in all four. Seattle was impressive in their befuddlement of Colin Kapernick. Dallas and Carolina simply let me down, but they were quality wins for a solid Kansas City team, as well as an up and coming Bills team. With that said here are my week 3 picks and as usual I'm still striving for perfection!

Denver Broncos vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction

Throughout the NFL season (playoffs included), I will be making my weekly NFL predictions. For right now I will just pick the Thursday night game between the Denver Broncos and the team that eliminated them from last years playoffs, the Super Bowl champions Baltimore Ravens. Stay tuned for my picks for the Sunday and Monday night games.
I think this will be a very competitive and exciting opening day game. The Broncos will definitely miss the suspended Von Miller and injured Champ Bailey on defense. The Ravens are also experiencing change on defense as well, they have gotten younger and faster, but unproven at the same time. The pass rush should be fine with the addition of Elvis Dumervil to Raven stalwarts Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata but their backend concerns me just a little in this matchup. Going forward as the defense begins to gel and get used to playing with each other this Raven defense will be very good, but I feel that Peyton Manning and his plethora of weapons will prove too much for Baltimore to overcome on opening night. It will be interesting to see how Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco responds to the huge contract he received this offseason in addition to the loss of his safety blanket Anquan Boldin (traded to 49ers) and up and coming tight end Dennis Pitta (injury), as he has no proven receiving threat after Torrey Smith.
My prediction: Baltimore 24 @ Denver 30

A$AP Rocky Charged With Assault
While performing at the "Made In America Festival" in Philadelphia, budding rap superstar A$AP Rocky allegedly assaulted a female fan. Story has it that as Rocky was making his way through a crowd of fans, many fans of the female gender were pulling on his shirt, to which he reacted by allegedly by delivering an open hand slap to some young woman's face. The victim of the slap has complained that she has suffered injuries such as whiplash due to the impact of the blow and proceeded to file charges with the D.A.'s office, which has charged Rocky with simple assault. No word from Rocky's camp thus far...

Scheduled to be released on September 24 after being pushed back a week from its original release date of September 17, the tracklisting and album art for Drake's third lp, Nothing Was The Same, has surfaced. Their will be a standard and a deluxe version available. The album features two covers, both are drawings, with one portraying Drake as a young child and the second depicts him as an adult. Shopping Bag Drizzy has opted to go for dolo for the majority of this album, as the tracklist only list three feature artist, Jay Z, Majid Jordan, and Detail (the deluxe features the Big Sean and 2 Chainz assisted "All Me"). Drake made the proclamation that this album would be more grittier than his past two albums, we'll see how that turns out, but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the track "Wu-Tang Forever."
