With a release date seemingly set in stone (please, no more delays) for October 8th, Pusha T's G.O.O.D. Music boss, Kanye West, has decided that it was time to release the albums cover art, which is desinged by Mr. West himself and his Donda outfit. Kanye released two seperate covers (maybe one is possibly for a deluxe edition). What do you think of the covers? Make sure you pick up Pusha's debut solo album on October 8th! #mydopedontspoil

Kendrick Lamar Speaks on his "Control" Verse
After shaking the hip hop world up with his "Control" verse, Kendrick Lamar has been low key (he was on tour, just in case your wondering) until he arrived at the VMA's and was allegedly the reason J. Cole ended up in an altercation with P. Diddy at a VMA afterparty. Well now K. Dot has broken his silence and sat down with Peter Rosenberg (possibly his biggest fan) to discuss the verse and the after effects of it. Check out the interview below...

Joe Buddens Attempts to Regain "Control"
So after getting physically threatened by Styles P. and then deciding to shelve his response to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse , Joe Budden finally decides to let go the CDQ version of his response after it was ripped during a UStream chat he took part in earlier this week. Nice bars, maybe the best response so far. I wonder will Joey Bada$$ respond to the subtle jab Budden threw his way? Only time will tell... Check out Joey's response below.....
I'll post the rest of the responses at some point and time, until then enjoy...

Did Kendrick Lamar Just Drop The Verse Of The Year???
Big Sean just let go of his banger "Control" which is produced by No I.D. and features Kendrick Lamar and the ever evasive Jay Electronica. Big Sean brought it, Jay Elect drops a solid verse but I doubt that anyone remembers their verse after what Kendrick did to this track. I would quote some of K. Dot's verse but that would be an exercise in futility because the entire verse is pretty much a hip hop quotable! Hip Hop lives and Kendrick just put everyone on notice! Rappers are in danger, word to Jeru The Damaja! Is this a candidate for the verse of the year? Take a listen and let me know your thoughts!
Unfortunately, rumor has it that due to sample clearance issues this track won't appear on Big Sean's upcoming album, Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player.

Jay Z vs. Harry Belafonte
As of now you have probably become aware of the "feud" between Harry Belafonte and Shawn "Jay Z" Carter. Belafonte criticized Jay and his wife Beyoncé (oh, the audacity) for not being charitable enough and using the power of their influence to effect political matters and help the black community. Jay responded via interviews with Elliot Wilson (#FactsOnly) and Bill Maher, as well as on the track "Nickels and Dimes" off of his most recent release, Magna Carta Holy Grail, where Jay raps, "I'm just trying to find common ground / Before Mr. Belafonte come and chop a nigga down / Mr. Day-O, major fail / Respect these youngins boy, it’s my time now / Hublot homie two door homie /You don’t know all the sh*t I do for the homies." According to Jay, his presence is charity. Do you think Mr. Belafonte has a legitimate point regarding Jay and Bey or is he unaware of the difference in circumstances between when he was fighting for civil and political justice compared to today? Or is it simply a function of a generation gap? Media mogul, Oprah Winfrey feels that both Jay Z and Harry Belafonte are both right based on what is/was needed in their day and times.

Drake is the new Will Smith???
ESPN analyst, Bomani Jones needs to never speak on Hip Hop/Rap again. This guy actually believes "there are very few rappers as good as the young Will Smith" and "one of the single greatest rappers to walk the face of the Earth." Will Smith? The Fresh Prince?? The same guy who didn't write the biggest songs on his resume (Summertime=Rakim; Big Willie Style=Nas)? I'm not going to front though, I was laughing hysterically when he tells Drake he is Shane Battier! Check out the footage below from a conversation between Tim Cowlishaw and Bomani Jones during a Around The Horn commercial break.
