While watching the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards you probably noticed that not many awards were actually handed out. Well just in case you were wondering, here is the complete list of winners from the award ceremony last night. Kendrick Lamar was last nights biggest winner as he took home five awards total including "Album Of The Year" and "MVP Of The Year" and Drake wasn't far behind nabbing four awards himself. I personally think Joey Bada$$ was robbed in the "Rookie Of The Year" category but that's just my opinion. The list doesn't also include MC Lyte being honored with the "I Am Hip Hop Award". During her acceptance speech Lyte dropped a gem on the Hip Hop community, listeners and artist alike by stating, “Men, we are depending on you. We need you to protect us when no one else will. So stop cursing us out all the time. Find some love for us somewhere. And ladies, I say if you want to be treated like a queen, act like one.” That statement definitely needed to be made and who else better to say it!
